Our Tests

Advanced Neurodiagnostic Testing

All testing is performed by highly qualified, certified physicians and experienced technicians, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and clinical integrity.

EDX

Electrodiagnostic Studies

Nerve Conduction / EMG / Ultrasound

Determines whether nerve injury is acute and related to the incident, distinguishes new trauma from pre-existing conditions, and identifies the exact spinal level (radiculopathy) or specific peripheral nerves involved.

  • Provides a clear clinical roadmap to improve treatment accuracy and patient outcomes
  • Objectively separates injury-related from pre-existing or chronic nerve conditions
  • Identifies exact spinal level for targeted treatment planning
VNG

Videonystagmography

Balance & Vestibular Studies

Identifies vestibular dysfunction, including traumatic vestibulopathy, and can objectively support a diagnosis of concussion (mTBI) when present.

  • Reports include specific CRM (canal repositioning maneuvers) and precise directional guidance for balance rehabilitation
  • Clinical guidance and provider training available upon request
  • Objective mTBI / concussion documentation for clinical and legal purposes
CLIE

Cervical Ligament Injury Evaluation

Whiplash / Cervical Injury Assessment

Detects injury and instability of the upper cervical ligaments — highly sensitive structures often not visualized on MRI, CT, or X-ray.

  • Critical for providers performing spinal mobilization or prescribing therapeutic exercise
  • When instability is identified, specific movement restrictions (by level and direction) are clearly defined to ensure patient safety
  • Finds cervical instability that standard imaging misses entirely
Timing for Testing

When to Refer
Your Patient

Early testing is strongly recommended — but late testing still provides real diagnostic value. Here's what you need to know.

We are structured to support — not compete with — treating providers.

We do not bill PIP (Personal Injury Protection), preserving those benefits for your treating chiropractors and physical therapists.

Ideal Window

Within 21 Days (3 Weeks) of Injury

  • Nerve injuries become electrophysiologically detectable at approximately 21 days
  • Testing within this window allows us to objectively establish pre-existing conditions before post-injury changes develop
  • This distinction is extremely valuable for both clinical decision-making and case documentation
  • Early testing is strongly recommended for all patients with extremity symptoms
After 3 Weeks

Still Diagnostically Valuable

  • Testing still provides meaningful diagnostic insight
  • We can often establish injury-related findings and causation
  • Treatment guidance remains highly valuable regardless of timing

Bottom line: the sooner testing is performed, the more powerful the data to support clinical care and case value.

Our Diagnostic Reports

Clear, Actionable,
Clinically Useful

Our reports are designed to be immediately useful for treating providers — while also supporting the medical-legal aspects of the case.

Our focus is simple: deliver reports that you can immediately use to improve patient care and support the case.

EDX

Give Treating Providers Confidence in Care Planning

Objective, unbiased findings that translate complex diagnostics into practical clinical guidance you can act on immediately.

ALL

Support Appropriate and Necessary Treatment Duration

Documentation that backs the medical necessity of your treatment decisions — reducing the risk of post-settlement billing reductions.

VNG

Specific CRM & Rehabilitation Guidance

VNG reports include precise directional guidance for canal repositioning maneuvers and balance rehabilitation protocols.

CLIE

Safety-Critical Movement Restrictions by Level

When cervical instability is identified, specific movement restrictions by spinal level and direction are clearly defined to protect your patient during treatment.

Case Value & Clinical Confidence

Objective Data That Strengthens Both

We understand the challenge of balancing medically necessary care with concerns about case value and reimbursement pressure. As an independent neurodiagnostic provider, GMS delivers data that strengthens both.

GMS vs. Traditional Assessment Methods
Traditional Methods
  • Physical exams — inter-examiner variability
  • Subjective patient reports
  • Imaging that shows structure, but not function
  • No objective nerve function measurement
  • Weak differentiation of chronic vs. acute injury
GMS Neurodiagnostics
  • Objective measurement of neurological function
  • Pre-existing vs. injury-related findings — objectively
  • Follow-up testing demonstrates measurable change over time
  • Differentiates chronic conditions vs. trauma-related injury
  • Reduces risk of post-settlement billing reductions
📋

Stronger Documentation

Objective diagnostic data protects your clinical decisions and supports the medical necessity of your treatment choices.

📈

Measurable Change Over Time

Follow-up testing at ~6 months demonstrates objective neurological change — powerful evidence for clinical and legal purposes.

🤝

Specialist Network Co-Management

We coordinate with a trusted network of neurologists, orthopedists, pain management providers, chiropractors, and physical therapists when co-management is needed.

🛡️

Reduced Billing Reductions

Defensible documentation reduces the likelihood of post-settlement billing reductions — protecting your reimbursement.

Coordinated Case Management

We Handle Coordination.
You Handle Care.

Our case managers streamline communication and coordination between your office, our physicians, and the patient's attorney — so you stay focused on patient care, not administrative burden.

Step 01

You Refer the Patient

Submit a referral. We schedule testing promptly — same-week availability in most cases.

Step 02

Certified Testing

Our physicians and technicians perform EDX, VNG, or CLIE with full clinical rigor and accuracy.

Step 03

Reports Delivered

Clear, actionable reports delivered to all treating providers and the legal team — compiled and complete.

Step 04

Ongoing Coordination

Case managers facilitate specialist referrals, follow-up testing, and communication throughout the case lifecycle.
